The First Step Actors' Workshop is located in North Vancouver, B.C.  and is an all-inclusive artist's centre dedicated to the personal growth of each individual and the celebration of their natural born talent. Our philosophy guides everything we do: "The person you are is a thousand times more interesting than the greatest actor you could ever hope to be". Our objective is to guide the artist in discovering all the ways in which this statement is true. The result of the discovery being well rounded individuals with a deep understanding of themselves, their work, and their potential. The First Step Actors' Workshop is committed to providing the finest support system and guidance for actors of all ages, regardless of their level of experience.

Established in the spring of 1999, The First Step Actors' Workshop is where acting becomes its' own reward. The First Step offers acting and self-discovery programs for beginners and advanced actors in all age groups. Classes for youth, teens, and adults are on-going 7 days a week. The First Step is proud to include important actors services such as personal coaching, taping, and our Showcase program. All of these programs have shown excellent results and continue to develop our actors' growth both personally and professionally. We wholeheartedly believe in the importance of the work we are doing and the people we are doing it for.

The First Step Actors' Workshop is fully equipped to do audition tapings that can be posted on our server for viewing anywhere around the world. When clients come in to our taping facility at the studio they will go through material, run scenes, reinforce character choices, and examine props/wardrobe etc before taping begins. When the client is ready we tape the work, including a professional slate.
